Teardrops On Her Guitar

Can you say unproductive...

that's as far as yesterday went. woke up late, slept throughout anatomy lecture but managed to keep my eyes open during physiology. slept again in the afternoon and woke up late in the evening to watch an episode of The Doctors (Travis is the hottest doctor i have ever seen, Nas said he was from The Bachelor) which was only an hour... and now it's half past midnight. oookay

yeah well it's probably because i sort of slept late to search for Taylor Swift's videos on youtube.

she is definitely on my favourites list. i stumbled upon this one video where she was talking about how she was in love with her bestfriend and he never knew (well until she wrote this song and put it on the radio) and Drew (the guy the song's about) is totally aware that it's him, well she did kindly include his name at the very start of the song.

The guy would always tell Taylor about the girl he's in love with and she had to be the friend who gives ideas for Valentines or Birthdays for his girlfriend and it drove her to write a song about how she really felt which became a top 5 song for quite a few months and there was even a period of time that Teardrops On My Guitar was played on the radio every hour upon request. way to go Taylor! but even after that, Drew and his girlfriend's still together. she also added
it's strange that having that song as a top 5 song will help me get over somebody
yeahh, can't help but think she'd probably have the image of the guy's face everytime she sings the song

oh and what i totally respect about Taylor is that she could admit that the girl Drew's with is
the most awesome girlfriend
that's cool of her.

Teardrops On My Guitar

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about
And she's got everything that I have to live without

Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it's just so funny
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night

[Chorus:]

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do

Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly,
The kind of flawless I wish I could be
She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause

[Repeat Chorus]

So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down and maybe
Get some sleep tonight

He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only one who's got enough of me to break my heart
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
He's the time taken up, but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into..

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.

Bubba Gump

.tagged by Afiq.
My Desktop

A part of the table i sat at in Bubba Gump

When i was back in Malaysia last month, my mom and dad and sisters and niece and i went to Bubba Gump at Sunway Pyramid. It was sort of a 'farewell' dinner. The place was full with 17 year olds, working there. (they just received their SPM results the day before). They really kept the place alive, i mean the place was soooo noisy and though their job is to serve people but they made it look like they were doing a favour for a friend and bring them food. They made everything fun. yeahh I wished i had work there when i was waiting for my SPM results.. it was like a really really really really happy place :D loved it.

And each time i look at my desktop, the flashback starts.

And i'd tag other people but i don't think they'd read my blog and know they've been tagged haha

Izzat Alhadjri

Izzat Alhadjri
Happy Birthday

the one with stories to share. the one to give fashion advice. the one who'll always be there.

Thanks for calling me... though I should be the one calling the birthday boy

Wish i was back home to crash your house with Asila (like we always do till the crack of dawn)

Bet you're gonna have one hell of a party. Totally kills me that i can't be there.

Fabulous 5 remember ;)

Clap clap

alright, so guess what, i missed public speaking because the pipes decided to stop working. and i just could not go to an event before taking a bath. so i waited till there was water then sort of took my own sweet time to get ready and off to convention center.

i felt awful missing public speaking, everyone said there was some good shit. i hate this.

okay so i stayed and watched debat, and i sort of got a little too into it and though i was just a spectator, could not help but realise my temper was rising watching them argue. yeah, the reason why i wasn't chosen as a debater at high school -i vaguely remembered i started to shout my points. (the teacher told me i should join the drama team instead)

all in all i had fun watching everyone involved in something other than... studying.

went home after pok nik's team was announced winner. nas khairi and i were walking home when we saw these 2 arab guys fighting, typical, they were beating the hell out of each other and then there was this other guy who was just an innocent passer by on his motorcycle, carrying a broom, the 2 arab guys, i don't know how, grabbed the broom and the motorcycle guy fell and the other guy who didn't manage to grip the broom strong enough ran to one side and picked up a long metal thing and they fought and fought and i have better things to do then to cheer them on.

went to the place again at 8p.m for the closing ceremony. watched a few performances from the girls and then all of us gathered to watch some seniors perform with their bands. lucky as always, i got the front seat and center. it was good and they did practice for a couple of weeks before performing, so yeah *clap clap*

then they announced the winners, the teams which won were definitely over the top.

and for public speaking 2nd place goes to alia! yay, nice work and 1st place goes to this good looking senior who could do nothing but grin when announced winner... i'm trying to find the person who recorded their 3-minute talk... should be interesting.

and that's that.

Speaking

woke up and it was 11am. that's late i tell you, i can only do this once a week. yeah that's right, just one day off. it's back to waking up at 7.30am and rushing like hell to hopefully not have the lecturer say 'you are late' on non Fridays. if it weren't for Friday prayers i bet we won't even have Fridays off.

called sab 1st thing, she left for Cairo around 8 this morning. couldn't muster the energy to even say have fun. she was on the way to City Star where i'm sure there's gonna be some serious shopping. didn't join her because i wanted to see the public speaking competition going on today. yeah us Malaysians have this sort of 2-week-booming.out.of.mediocrity. thing, boom for short. haha didn't join because i was hoping someone would do me a favour and slip my name in... but nope (at least that sounds better than saying i just don't want to okay)

so basically i ditched Cairo because i wanted to see what was everyone getting so excited about when the sun rose today. i was eager to watch public speaking and debat.. not debate, but debat yeah. so will tell you how it went

Zufar Ismail Zeid

hahah because i know you'll read this!

Meet Zufar a.k.a. Jambu (hell yeah, look at him)

Hi, I'm Zufar and I owe Athirah Starbucks.

and i own a camera.

That is all.

21

I love the number. Because i think it's an elegant one, signifies grace and purity, reminds me of blackjack and there's forever 21...

and also because i was born on a 21st.

the number of candles would be 19 next. and i'm afraid i'm not ready for it. and when people say i'd better start acting my age, well can i help it if the years keeps going by even when i'm not done being 16? i am acting my age... the age that i wanna be.

a few years ago i would be sooo eager for that day... where i'd get presents and be treated like a princess (well i'm treated like a princess everyday) well anyway, the thing is i like the particular day, i just dont like the fact that it highlights the fact that i'm older.

i've had surprises, parties, sleepovers on my birthdays as i grew up. i guess it's about time for a decent birthday, you know, just a handshake, a warm wish, maybe a wink and perhaps a nice long chat with a few good friends. because that's what i thought 19-year-old birthdays should be like, too old for parties or all that hullabaloo... see this is what i don't like, being too old for something... oh gosh, i wonder how 20-year-old birthdays would be like... *shivers and stops wondering*

yeah my sad sob story... about birthdays?!

gosh, i guess i do need to grow up hahah
